What we collect when you use effred.com — the contact form and the EVA chat — why we collect it, who helps us process it, and how to reach us about it.

Who we are
This website, www.effred.com, is run by Effred Technologies (“Effred”, “we”, “us”). Our registered office is Vill Chakteri, Bazar Baldirai, Musafirkhana, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh 227806, India, and we work from Suncity Success Tower, Golf Course Ext Rd, The Close South, Sector 65, Gurugram, Haryana 122101, India.
For the personal data described here, Effred Technologies is the data fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@effred.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the pages of www.effred.com, the contact form and the EVA chat on this website, and emails you send to us.
- It does not cover data inside Effred One. Data that a customer company puts into its own Effred One workspace is governed by that company’s agreement with us, and we process it on the customer’s instructions. If you work for an Effred One customer, your employer is the first place to ask about your data.
- It does not cover the Laundry Boys service, which has its own Laundry Boys Privacy Policy.
- Websites we link to, such as WhatsApp or Google Maps, have their own privacy policies.
What we collect
We collect what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical data any website needs to work.
- The contact form — your name, work email, company, phone number (optional), company size, what you need help with and your message, plus the page you sent it from, the time, and the IP address it came from. To filter out spam, the form also checks a hidden field and how long the form was open before it was sent.
- Questions to EVA — the text you type into the EVA chat on this website, and the answers it gives. EVA does not ask for your name or email address. The “Ask EVA” chat also keeps your current conversation in your browser until you close the tab (see “Cookies and browser storage” below).
- Emails you send us — anything you write to info@effred.com or another effred.com address, and our replies.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our hosting provider records in standard server logs.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a call, and send you a proposal, demo or shortlist if you ask for one.
- To let you know your message reached us. We may send a short automatic acknowledgement to the email address you gave.
- To answer the questions you type into EVA.
- To keep the website secure, limit repeated or automated submissions, and fix faults.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations if your enquiry turns into work with us.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use what you send through the form or EVA for advertising.
The EVA chat on this website
EVA on this website is a public assistant that answers questions about Effred, Effred One and our services.
When you send a question, it goes to our server and from there to Anthropic’s Claude API, which generates the answer. So that EVA can follow the conversation, each question is sent together with the most recent messages before it, up to six messages in all. Anthropic processes the text as our service provider. If the Claude API is not available, EVA answers from information on this website instead.
We do not keep EVA questions or answers on our own servers. Anthropic’s standard policy for its API is to delete inputs and outputs within 30 days, unless it needs to keep them longer to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law — see how long Anthropic keeps data.
We do not use EVA questions to identify you. Please do not type personal, financial or confidential information into the chat — if you need to share details, use the contact form and a person will reply.
EVA can be wrong, and its answers are not advice or commitments — see our Terms of use. EVA inside Effred One is a separate feature of the product, covered by the customer agreement and described on our Security page.
Who helps us run the site
We share personal data only with the providers we need to run this website, and only for that purpose:
- Hostinger hosts our email. Contact form messages are sent through Hostinger’s mail service to info@effred.com, and our replies go out the same way.
- Anthropic receives the text of EVA questions so the Claude API can generate an answer.
- Vercel hosts this website and the small server functions behind the contact form and EVA, and keeps standard request logs.
- Google Fonts serves our typefaces, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
Some of these providers process data outside India. We may also disclose information where Indian law requires it, for example to a court or a regulator.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages and emails stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it. If you become a customer, they form part of our business records and are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires.
- EVA questions and answers are not kept on our own servers, and we do not build a profile of you from them. Anthropic deletes them from its API systems within 30 days under its standard policy, unless it needs to keep them longer to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law. The copy in your browser is deleted when you close the tab.
- Server logs are kept for a short period under our hosting provider’s standard settings.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it. You can ask us to delete yours sooner — see “Your rights” below. We cannot delete EVA text that Anthropic already holds; it is removed on Anthropic’s schedule above.
How we protect it
The website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and contact form messages travel to our mailbox over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and, once the DPDP Act’s breach-reporting duty applies, the Data Protection Board of India.
How we protect customer data in Effred One is described on our Security page.
Your rights
You can ask us to do any of the following at any time, and we will deal with your request:
- Give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct, complete or update it.
- Erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Stop using it where you gave your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
- Let someone you nominate make these requests for you in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Look into a grievance you raise with us about your personal data.
Most of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — including these rights of data principals and complaints to the Data Protection Board of India — comes into force on 13 May 2027, under the government’s commencement notification of 13 November 2025. Until then, we handle these requests as our own practice. From that date they are also your legal rights under the Act, and if you are not satisfied with our answer to a grievance, you can complain to the Board.
To make a request, write to info@effred.com, ideally from the email address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.
Children
This website is meant for businesses. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the website or the law changes — for example, before adding analytics. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
